Architect, Harold G. Sadler, FAIA, Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from The American Institute of Architects, California Council

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Institute of Architects, California Council (AIACC) announces the 2007 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Distinguished Service, Harold G. Sadler, FAIA, with the firm of Tucker Sadler Architects, Inc. in San Diego. This award is presented to an individual as recognition of outstanding contributions to the improvement of the built environment, as well as for their contribution to the architectural profession. Harold G. Sadler, FAIA, is a true leader. His passion for architecture began in 1952, where he attended Arizona State University School of Architecture. His thirst for knowledge led him to the University Of Southern California College Of Architecture where he earned his Master’s degree. Sadler began his career with the prestigious architecture firm of Jones and Emmons in Los Angeles. He moved to San Diego in 1957 where he joined Thomas Tucker and Ed Bennett, establishing one of the most respected architectural firms in San Diego. For 50 years the firm has influenced design innovation and urban planning, with a long term commitment to their clients and the community. Sadler’s exceptional talent and character, along with his willingness to assume risks and effort required of leadership roles has made him a hallmark of diligence and integrity as someone who creates a community where all voices can be heard. Some of his accomplishments include the San Diego Downtown Partnership, and the development of Petco Park. He represented CCDC as a member of the joint Powers Authority of the City and Port. We are pleased to honor him as a Lifetime achiever.” Sadler’s body of work qualifies him for the Lifetime Achievement honor as a designer, mentor and leader in the profession.
