Canadian Dedication to Green Building Demonstrated at Greenbuild 2007

November 07, 2007

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Representatives from approximately 40 Canadian-based companies, organizations and government agencies are showcasing their goods and services to architects, home builders, developers and engineers from around the globe at Greenbuild 2007, the world’s largest conference and exposition dedicated to employing green building practices. The show runs November 7-9, 2007 at the McCormick Place West Building in Chicago. “From the latest in solar water heating appliances and demountable wall systems, to synthetic cedar shake roofing that’s 95 percent derived from recycled materials, to a new heat treatment technology for wood and security platform that eliminates the need for electronic hardware, Canada has much to offer the growing green building industry,” said Canadian Consul General Georges Rioux. “We’re thrilled to have such a strong Canadian presence here in Chicago and expect to make quite an impression with the show’s attendees.” According to Rioux, roughly five percent of the Greenbuild 2007 exhibitors will be from Canada. Nearly half of the Canadian exhibitors will be showcasing their products and services in a common area as part of the Canadian Pavilion, booth 1502, coordinated by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service.
