LEED is the USGBC's leading edge system for designing and constructing green, energy efficient, high performing buildings. The F-Wing Expansion provides additional classrooms and faculty offices within the academic core of the Stockton campus. A central feature of the addition is the sky-lit, two-story atrium, which adds a large public gathering space to the building and provides daylight to the interior of the F-Wing. The F-Wing Expansion was designed to achieve LEED Certification for energy use, lighting, water and material use as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies. LEED verifies environmental performance, occupant health and financial return. LEED was established for market leaders to design and construct buildings that protect and save precious resources while also making good economic sense.
