No-Burn receives Evaluation Report from ICC-ES, verifying that the company’s products are building code compliant

No-Burn® surface applied fire-retardant coatings: No-Burn Original, No-Burn Plus, No-Burn Plus Mih, No-Burn Wood Gard and No-Burn Wood Gard Mih, manufactured by No-Burn Incorporated, received an evaluation report ESR#1838 from ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), providing evidence that the surface applied fire-retardant coatings meet code requirements. Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others utilize the ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to provide a basis for using or approving surface applied fire-retardant coatings in construction projects following the International Building Code. ICC-ES President John Nosse explains why ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are so important. “No-Burn can now reference the evaluation report to ensure building officials and the building industry that their products meet I-Code requirements,” Nosse said. “Building departments have a long history of using evaluation reports, and ICC-ES operates as a technical resource for the building department. Final approval of building products is always in the hands of the local regulatory agency.” ICC-ES thoroughly examined No-Burn’s product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code compliant. “Everyone within the No-Burn corporate group and throughout our global dealer network is very proud of this accomplishment,” stated Bill Kish, No-Burn’s President and CEO, “And we thank the team at ICC-ES for assisting us in affirming what we and our expanding group of customers in a wide array of industries already knew – that the No-Burn family of products represent best-in-class technology in terms of fire protection, mold protection and overall end-user value.” ICC-ES is the United States’ leading source of technical information on building products and building technology for code compliance. A nonprofit, public-benefit corporation, ICC-ES performs technical evaluations of building products, components, methods and materials. The evaluation process culminates with the issuance of reports on compliance with the major U.S. building codes, which are available at www.icc-es.org. ICC-ES is a subsidiary of the International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention that develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the International Code Council. No-Burn, Inc has been leading the way in the field of fire retardant technology since 1998. By removing the fuel a fire needs to burn, these products dramatically reduce the possibility of a fire ever starting when applied over substrates such as wood, drywall, fabric, carpet, furniture, fiber-reinforced plastic and many other materials. Equally important, No-Burn® can reduce toxic smoke by as much as 80 percent. All No-Burn products carry a “Class A” rating and are completely non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. Several No-Burn products also offer a dual level of protection, reducing the risk of fire and resisting the growth of toxic-black mold. All No-Burn products are available exclusively through a network of dealers, certified for professional application.
