Solar Santa Monica and PermaCity Celebrate Solar Installation on New Affordable Housing Complex

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--Solar Santa Monica: WHAT: Leading sustainable city Santa Monica is proud to dedicate a new affordable housing apartment complex that sports a 30 kW solar system to help keep utility costs down. PermaCity Solar, the system installer, is one of the preferred contractors selected by Solar Santa Monica, the City’s two-year-old program aimed at promoting uptake of efficiency and renewables. Built without City incentives, the project features compact, loft-style units with green features, in addition to the solar. Attendees at the dedication will meet project team members, view the complex and tour one of the units. WHO: Santa Monica Mayor Ken Genser will be among the city officials saluting the developer, NMS Properties. Other attendees will include the solar installer, architect, finance company for the solar system, and contractor.
