SNRY Rolls-Out Dealer Distribution of ProPac(TM) Water Heating System PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Solar Energy Initiatives, Inc. (OTCBB:SNRY), executing on a grass roots campaign, "RENEW THE NATION", to help redeploy a portion of the U.S. work force and focus on reducing the world's dependence on fossil fuels by selling solar thermal and photovoltaic (PV) technologies, today announced that it has launched an industry-changing commercial solar hot water system, ProPac(TM), to its network of solar dealers. The new ProPac product will allow Solar Energy Initiatives to add another best-in-class product for solar energy installers to offer to residential and commercial customers. ProPac(TM), manufactured by Energy Laboratories, Inc. of Jacksonville, FL, offers a scalable, pre-engineered, "plug-and-play" solar thermal system that heats water using solar energy. For the average home, 20% to 30% of total energy used is solely to heat water. A solar hot water system is one of the most cost-effective renewable energy investments as its "cost per unit energy" is a fraction of traditional solar photovoltaic and can produce attractive return-on-investment scenarios with little to no financial incentives. "Solar Energy Initiatives is pleased to offer ProPac(TM) to its dealers," stated Mr. David Fann, Chief Executive Officer of Solar Energy Initiatives. "We believe ProPac(TM) is the most innovative commercial-grade solar hot water product to enter the market to date. As part of our RENEW THE NATION campaign this product will assist in redeploying electricians and plumbing contractors into solar energy dealers. Heating water is an energy-intensive endeavor and we are confident that this application is an ideal cost-cutting method for hotels, hospitals, schools, prisons and other commercial institutions where hot water is a significant expense. This revolutionary product will assist in growing our revenue base as we continue to double our sales quarter over quarter." The first commercial ProPac(TM) installation completed is located at the CSX Transportation facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. K-Power, a division of The Dana B. Kenyon Construction Company of Jacksonville, FL was the contractor who successfully installed this best-in-class water heating system. The system commissioned in March 2009 will generate 217,800 BTU's per day, heating 240 gallons of water to 140 degrees F. It is expected to reduce water heating costs by 80% and offsetting 22 tons of carbon dioxide per year and a service life over 25 years.
