Greenv Sustainable Center of South San Francisco Announces Grand Opening and Earth Day Event on April 18

Come Celebrate Earth Day and Green Living at This Special Event SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Greenv Sustainable Center of South San Francisco invites the public to celebrate Earth Day a little early this year. From 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 18, the center will host a grand opening event designed to showcase the center's commitment to green living, green businesses, and the green community. Doors will open to the public at 9:00 am and the event will kick off at 9:30 am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and speech by Karyl Matsumoto, mayor of South San Francisco. John Portner, president of Greenv, and Rick Rios, general manager of the Greenv Sustainable Center, will also speak. After the ribbon cutting, the public will be invited in to explore the wealth of products and services that the Greenv Sustainable Center offers. At 11:00 am, attendees will be treated to an inspiring keynote address by David Gottfried, founder of the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition to speakers, the Greenv Sustainable Center grand opening will feature seminars, sustainable product demonstrations, live music, organic food and beverages, and kid-friendly activities, including a visit by a mobile science lab. There will also be a raffle for the chance to win an "Eco-Ped" electric scooter and other prizes. Attendees who bicycle or take public transportation to the event will receive a free raffle ticket.
