PA Senate Bill 100 Compliance Required by July 1, 2009 STATE COLLEGE, Pa., April 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On July 1 PA Senate Bill 100 becomes law and many of those affected, primarily home improvement contractors and larger suppliers, may be unprepared to deal with its impact. To address this issue, a not-for-profit coalition of business owners will hold a free seminar at 7:00 PM on April 20th at the State College Elks Club in Boalsburg, PA. Participants may register online at www.stop-them.org. Pre-registration is recommended as organizers expect a full house. The seminar will explain registration and contract compliance under the Act. Allen C. Jacobson Esq., and lobbyist, Michael Caterino will explain the bill in depth, and what contractors need to know in order to obtain contract approval. Representatives from the offices of the Governor, Attorney General and state legislators have been invited to attend. "This law not only applies to home improvement contractors, but may also apply to any business that provides services and products to homeowners that exceed $500," said Sam Mannino, spokesperson and in-house volunteer lobbyist for the association, STOP THEM.ORG, a not-for-profit formed by local business owners specifically to assist contractors with PA Senate Bill 100. "I suggest that any person with a question see the non-profit's website at: www.stop-them.org for a complete list of requirements."
