EMSI's Expertise Employed for Sustainable Design WASHINGTON, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Market Solutions, Inc. (EMSI), an environmental and green building consulting company, provided sustainable design and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification consulting to Founding Farmers, the first upscale-casual, full-service restaurant to be awarded LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED CI) Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). EMSI is part of Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) . Founding Farmers, an 8,500 square foot restaurant in downtown Washington, DC, received LEED Gold certification in recognition of the restaurant's high standards for energy and environmental performance.
