Champion's Energy Efficient Windows, Doors and Patio Rooms Earn Green Seal Certification

July 17, 2009

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After an extensive, year-long process, Champion has earned Green Seal(TM) certification for its window, door and patio room products. Green Seal identifies products that are designed and manufactured in an environmentally responsible manner. Green Seal inspectors visited Champion's Cincinnati and Denver manufacturing facilities to ensure that it met its energy efficiency and environmental standards. A team led by Rik Vonderhaar, Champion's Customer Service Manager, answered questions and helped facilitate the thorough examination process. Green Seal announced that Champion successfully met their manufacturing requirements and received certification on July 8. "Champion is proud that our products not only save customers money, but are also manufactured in an environmentally friendly way," said Don Jones, President and COO of Champion. "The Green Seal certification is evidence of our hard work and demonstrates that we want the best for the homeowners who use our products and services." Champion will be using the Green Seal trademarked logo on their products, website and advertising to demonstrate their commitment to continue to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. Champion has also earned the Good Housekeeping seal and is certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) and is ENERGY STAR(R) qualified in all 50 states. Champion is only the fourth window manufacturing company to achieve the Green Seal certification.
