Vermont Danby Marble is Highly Durable and Environmentally Friendly SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pental Granite & Marble, the Northwest’s largest importer and distributor of natural stone and tile, has announced the addition of the Danby Marble line from Vermont Quarries Corp. to its collection of products. Vermont Danby white marble are a Greenguard certified product and is the first line to have all marble grades certified under this program. Greenguard certified products must meet stringent indoor air quality standards and are screened for more than 10,000 chemicals. “We are very excited to expand our product offerings with the introduction of this unique line of marble,” said Peter Pental, president of Pental Granite & Marble. “These materials are not only striking and durable, but also qualify for green building and may help projects attain LEED points. They are ideally suited to stand up to conditions in kitchens and commercial settings.” Due to a very low absorption rate of just 0.07 percent, which is about half the rate of most granites, Vermont Danby is highly resistant to damage and can be used both indoors and out. The marble, which is available in ten distinct colors and patterns, was recently selected by Martha Stewart for her residence and has been featured on The Food Network's “All Star Kitchen Makeover.” Pental Granite & Marble is the exclusive distributor in the Northwest to carry the Vermont Danby collection. “This line of marble offers a luxurious look with varied veining,” said Pental. “It is one of those rare durable products that is highly sought after as well as environmentally-savvy.”
