Exhibition scheduled Wednesday 21 - Saturday 24 The international exhibition of natural stones, technologies and design – the world leader in the sector - posted at the 2010 edition an increase of 12.5% for international operators. International appointments also double up in 2011 (USA and Saudi Arabia). Verona: December 2010. The traditional date in the third week of September returns for the 46th edition of Marmomacc (www.marmomacc.com), the International Exhibition of Natural Stone, Technologies and Design scheduled at VeronaFiere Wednesday 21 - Saturday 24 September 2011. The world-leading exhibition with as many as 1530 exhibitors from 56 countries and 56 thousand professional operators (48.5% from 132 countries, with an increase in international attendance over 2009 equal to 12.5%), is the most qualified commercial and professional update occasion for the sector as a whole: from unfinished stone to design installations in stone, machinery, instrumental products and accessories. The increase in international operators was particularly evident for geographical areas with more lively economies, such as Asia, South America and North Africa. Marmomacc witnessed a boom in operators from India (+54.1%), where this year VeronaFiere set up VeronaFiere Lems India Ltd. for direct organisation of trade events and initiatives, Brazil (+63.4%), Egypt (+21.43%), Libya (+75.6%) and Tunisia (+21.5%), as well as from areas with a great tradition of interest for Made in Italy such as Germany (+19.8%), one of the most important markets for processed products that has shown signs of recovery in recent months. VeronaFiere continues the process of internationalisation of its events, and consequently of the system and companies involved, not the least through consolidation on international markets, particularly in countries such as India, China, Brazil, United States and the Middle East. In this regard, the strong partnership that originated Stonexpo Marmomacc Americas (25-27 January) in Las Vegas, the most important sector exhibition in North America, has been further enhanced. The innovation is Saudi Stone-Tech (10-13 October), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where VeronaFiere and Confindustria Marmomacchine have created an “exhibition in an exhibition” for the stone, materials and technologies sector as part of the exhibition dedicated to building and are also organising Italian attendance. The various activities that the Verona Exhibition Authority will develop within the scope of its 2010-2014 Business Plan also include a partnership in South America for the natural stone and technologies sector.
