UL Environment to Help Architects & Designers Navigate Sustainable Design Standards at Greenbuild

Expert Panel and Sustainable Products Wall to Demonstrate Ways to Identify Products with Environmental Attributes and Meet Evolving Sustainable Design Standards MARIETTA, Ga., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- An array of 300+ ecolabels and assessment tools and an evolution of green codes and standards make it difficult for architects and designers to identify authentically sustainable products. At the upcoming 2012 Greenbuild conference in San Francisco, UL Environment and a panel of experts will discuss ways to navigate the sustainable product landscape in order to meet evolving sustainable design standards. UL Environment's director of public affairs, Mark Rossolo, is one of the experts participating in this 60-minute panel discussion, "Identifying Sustainable, Environmentally Preferable Products that Meet Evolving Sustainable Design Standards," on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 1:30 p.m. PST, along with experts Elaine Aye, Principal at Green Building Services Inc. and Steve Baer, Senior Consultant at PE International. Also at Greenbuild this year, UL Environment will feature its first sustainable product showcase in its booth featuring an array of certified building materials, finishes, furnishings, and cleaning/sanitary products.
