Custom structural skylight solution bridges the gap between unit skylights and fully custom systems
Kingspan Light + Air (KLA), a leading manufacturer of daylighting and ventilation solutions for commercial buildings, has relaunched its Continuous Vault Skylight Systems, a custom-designed structural skylight solution engineered to bring natural daylight into large commercial and industrial spaces.
Designed to bridge the gap between traditional unit skylights and fully custom skylight systems, the solution provides architects, contractors and building owners with a flexible option for daylighting large facilities such as warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers and retail environments.
The system’s vaulted shape helps capture and distribute natural daylight throughout the day, improving visual comfort while reducing reliance on electric lighting.
Constructed with durable extruded aluminum framing and acrylic glazing, Continuous Vault systems are engineered for long-term performance and can be customized to meet specific project requirements. The systems are fully tested for air infiltration, water penetration and structural integrity to deliver reliable protection against the elements.
Additional system features include:
· Corrosion resistant aluminum framing members
· Single or double-glazed acrylic with Clear, White or Prismatic options
· Painted or anodized aluminum framing finishes available
· Integral guttering designed for effective water management
· Vaulted skylight shape that enhances daylight distribution throughout the day
· Available with or without glazed vertical end walls
· Backed by a 10-year material and workmanship warranty
Continuous Vault skylights are available in preassembled units from 27 inches to 87 inches wide, shipped in sections up to 20 feet in length, while larger systems up to 123 inches wide can be assembled on-site to support longer daylighting runs across large roof areas.
Manufactured in the United States, Kingspan Light + Air skylight systems use aluminum containing no less than 50 percent recycled content and are designed with consideration for Buy America and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements, helping support project compliance across commercial construction markets.
