CitroTech (NYSE AM: CITR), a specialty chemical company developing environmentally responsible fire-retardant solutions, and Global Fireproof Solutions (GFS), a leader in fire protection treatments and code-compliant fire performance solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to integrate CitroTech's non-toxic fire inhibitor across GFS's current businesses, bringing the technology to a broader range of geographies, customers and applications.
GFS specializes in fire-retardant treatments for wood products and specialty materials serving customers across the Southeast and supporting projects nationwide. Through this partnership, GFS will integrate CitroTech’s inhibitor into its treatment capabilities and pursue new applications for farms, equine facilities, livestock operations, outdoor structures and other environments where effective fire protection is critical to protecting people, animals and property.

CitroTech's inhibitor is the only long-term fire retardant recognized under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Safer Choice program and the first to meet its Clean Water Act standards. It is UL GREENGUARD Gold certified and has passed ASTM E84 Extended testing. Unlike pressure-treated lumber, which relies on chemicals such as borates that can weaken wood fibers, CitroTech's citric acid-derived formulation is engineered to penetrate at the molecular level, helping prevent ignition without compromising strength or performance. This gives agricultural and rural communities effective fire protection without adverse impacts to land, structures or animals.
