In the early nineties, RAU gradually changed its perspective from that of an exclusively Afrikaans university to that of a university that is able to accommodate widely divergent student and language communities. The full-time undergraduate and postgraduate tuition programmes up to doctoral level are presented in Afrikaans and English.
