The University of Siegen offers a broad spectrum of subjects for study. Apart from thirteen courses leading to a first degree ("Diplom"), there are three types of teacher training degree and the "Magister Artium", which allows a choice of majors from five different departments. In addition Siegen offers nine supplementary (certificate) courses.
