In addition, the course discusses the alternative compliance paths that are available for masonry walls under IECC and ASHRAE, including the use of COMcheck software, and provides an introduction to the basic concepts and terms that are used with respect to thermal performance. Finally the course covers how masonry wall assemblies may contribute credits under LEED.

  • This course combines a presentation regarding how to meet Energy Code using next generation insulated concrete masonry walls with three learning stations where participants can view and build three types of demonstration wall panels illustrating the concepts covered in the presentation. The course discusses the latest developments in how to comply with Energy Code using innovative masonry designs and detailing, and allows participants to learn how such designs are built in the field. The presentation and hands on portions of the program are each 45 minutes in length.
