Background: Joshua Teixeira is a graduate engineer and has been actively involved in the building science industry for over 20 years employed as a design and project engineer with a Canadian Consulting Engineering Firm. Joshua has been directly involved with design and construction of numerous residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings and building systems. With an extensive background in soil science, Joshua has helped develop Frost Protected Shallow Foundation Technology from its infancy in the early 90's to its present form in Canada and USA by studying and working with
Scandinavian Scientists and Engineers. Joshua has been crucial to the transference of Scandinavian Technology and experience in this field to North America. To-date Joshua has designed and/or overseen the design of over 500 FPSF's in North America. Joshua is an active member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers. Joshua is currently head of Research and Development for Legalett Inc. a Canadian Company specializing in GEO-Slab Technology.
