Achieving Safe and Reliable Water Distribution with PEX Tubing
This course gathers and consolidates research data from various sources to define the pros and cons of tubing/piping materials used in today’s building water distribution networks. Making educated decisions about water distribution can save time, money, and headaches down the road. This course considers factors including water safety, energy efficiency, overall system durability and longevity, specification, installation, and of course, overall cost.
Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:
Identify all the components of a building/property’s potable water distribution system.
Describe system design requirements for maintaining safe potable water quality, appropriate water flow, and appropriate temperatures for occupant safety, energy efficiency, and system performance.
List and compare the performance qualities of available tubing/piping options and their impact on system longevity and water quality.
Describe different types of PEX tubing/piping and fittings and their applications.
