Tour of Westlake Royal Stone plant allowing participants to observe the manufacturing process and to engage participants in understanding the processes, materials, and quality standards of cultured stone, and to increase understanding of the installation methods for this high quality, durable masonry product.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

• Understand ASTM C150, C144, C33, and C330 accreditation processes and how raw materials factor into the importance of the overall quality and durability of manufactured stone veneer.
• Understand quality in packaging to ensure the product arrives at the job site in good condition and how it helps to keep the job site clean and organized.
• Understand manufacturing to replicate natural stones and critical attention to ICC-ES AC 51 and ASTM C1670, Acceptance Criteria for Precast Stone Veneer.
• Participants will observe the manufacturing process and understand how quality in manufacturing results in a durable product.
