Wausau Tile Plant Tour

Professionals will be taken on a tour of our manufacturing facilities, where they will learn the processes as well as the design aspects of manufacturing precast concrete and precast terrazzo products. Professionals will also learn the green practices in place throughout our 480,000 sq. ft. campus.

Upon completion of this course, the Learner should be able to:

• Explore the extensive sample area and engage in color matching with aggregate and matrix choices, including custom colors.
• Identify the green practices in place throughout the plant during the manufacturing process for each product. You will also understand the testing involved with concrete products on site.
• See the process of manufacturing precast concrete products and precast terrazzo products from raw materials, mold making, mixing, forming and finishing.
• Examine how concrete pavers are hydraulically machine pressed. Determine how the different types are finished to create individual product surfaces.
