Designing for Disruption: Healthcare Resiliency in a Changing Climate

This presentation will explore resiliency and sustainability planning for hospitals and healthcare systems facing increasingly frequent climate- and weather-related disruptions. The discussion will examine broader resiliency considerations, including flood risk, emergency access, infrastructure planning, energy performance, and operational continuity during major environmental events. A client perspective could help anchor the conversation in real-world healthcare operational challenges and future preparedness considerations, drawing from firsthand experience navigating a significant weather-related event.
