This course will provide an understanding of the benefits and limitations of both steel troweled, and polished and chemically densified concrete floors. The learner will recognize how specification can be a critical tool for influencing the final outcome. Environmental impacts of these technologies will be explored in context of the LEED rating systems, and we will conclude by discussing environments and industries conductive to densified concrete, whether steel troweled or polished.
