The Single-ply Revolution

Approximately 1 hour

A roofing system is a building's first line of defense against severe weather events. A roofing system must be attached to a roof deck properly to protect the occupants from harm and the building content from damage. Attendees will gain a working knowledge of single-ply system attachment methods, adhesives, fasteners and other accessories, and understand the variety of forces acting upon a roof and how single-ply roofing systems respond to their influence. The presentation will review the impact of environmental codes and standards on roofing system composition to meet ever more stringent air quality, thermal and moisture resistance requirements, and we will explore recent insurance, warranty and code changes affecting the roofing contractor, building owner and facility manager.

Presented by various experts on behalf of Elevate (formerly Firestone Roofing, Wall and Lining Systems).
