This presentation has been created to provide architects the opportunity to learn about the merits of spray foam insulation, and in particular, to (1) Understand the basic characteristics and proper installation of spray foam insulation in residential and commercial buildings. (2) Understand the different insulation performance characteristics of open-cell and closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) (3) Understand additional functions and benefits beyond insulation R-value. (4) Identify the range of applications for spray foam insulation. (5) Understand how SPF fits within an overall systems approach to energy efficiency.
