AEC Daily and BIMWorld Announce
Strategic Alliance
LAS VEGAS, June 4
/PRNewswire/ -- BIMWorld and AEC Daily
jointly announced their strategic
relationship at Construct 2008 in Las
Vegas.
AEC Daily is adding the BIMWorld's
services to its inventory of marketing
services for the building product
manufacturers. Through the BIMWorld
technology, they will be able to ensure
their products are specified from design
through construction and beyond.
The Building Information Model (BIM) is
a set of information generated and
maintained throughout the life cycle of
a building. BIM covers geometry, spatial
relationships, geographic information,
quantities and properties of building
components.
As a result of the relationship, AEC
Daily's course library will also be
integrated into Autodesk Seek - a
groundbreaking web service that allows
architects, engineers and designers to
search, select and specify building
products using Autodesk's advanced
search technology.
"Building Information Modeling is here
now and represents the future of A.E.C.
design. An estimated 1,000,000 projects
are currently using BIM" said Jeff
Rice, President of AEC Daily. "In
addition, BIMWorld's connection to
Autodesk will allow us to offer our wide
selection of outstanding courses to
Autocad users - and as always, for
free!"
AEC Daily currently has over 210 courses
that are recognized or approved by 17
different organizations and several new
courses are added monthly. Each one
meets or exceeds the educational
requirement for most construction
professionals in North America.
About BIMWorld:
BIMWorld(TM) is a leading developer of
building product manufacturer specific
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
content for the AEC industry. We are
continuously building an extensive
library of high quality 3D product

CSI
Masterformat 04 and the Uniformat
Classification standard. To enhance your
design experience, BIMWorld provides
versions of our 3D product models to
support the leading Building Information
Modeling (BIM) applications in the
market.

CSI Webinar: Building
Information: A Life-Cycle Approach to
Design Management
June 19, 2-3:30pm Offered in
partnership with STAMATS
A common misconception
is that building information modeling is
simply a 3-dimensional graphic model of
a building; in fact, the graphic model
is only one component of the building
information. This presentation will
examine how building information in
written and graphic form can be linked
through the use of data tags to identify
properties of objects. The discussion
will include philosophy for classifying,
organizing, and using building
information and explore collaboration
tools available to support the evolution
of information into essential knowledge.

CSI Webinar: Managing and
Leading Great Staff and Team Meetings
June 24, 2-3:30pm ET
Why is it that so many meetings seem
like a waste of time? With corporate
resources tighter than ever, and staff
and management busier than ever,
frivolous meetings are not an option.
Unproductive, wasteful meetings are a
major drag on staff morale and
motivation, thus affecting productivity,
turnover, and the bottom line. If you
are a business that wants to plan and
run more effective meetings using the
least amount of staff time and
resources, this program provides you
with the tools and strategies you need
to plan, manage, lead, and end
effective, efficient meetings.
