AEC Daily Bulletin - March 2009

CSI Academies Sustainable Design Features on AEC Daily

The economy may be slowing down but the staff at AEC Daily aren’t. We are making it easier to acquire information on sustainable design, whether for continuing education requirements or to complement your practice. Two new enhancements: our sustainability design rating system and a new sustainability blog, will make it easier to find and attain sustainable design information.

A new search mechanism identifies all of our courses that contain SD information and our green rating system lets you know what to expect in the way of amount and level of information. We are thrilled to have Mark Johnson, FAIA, NKBA Educator, consultant, residential architect and certified kitchen designer authoring his blog called GreenDesignGuide on our site. And for those who have an accessibility continuing education requirement, we’ve also added an accessibility rating system.

Scroll through our courses and look for the green apples identifying SD courses and wheelchair symbols noting accessibility ratings. A description of the rating system can be found on the Sustainable Design tab which also hosts the link to Marks blog. Happy reading!
