CSI Webinar; Elastomeric Wall Coatings: Theory, Uses and Application
May 7, 2-3:30pm ET

Elastomeric wall coatings are an integral part of above grade waterproofing and masonry wall restoration. This presentation will begin with a review of the fundamental research on elastomeric wall coatings. A novel mathematical model for determining the crack bridging requirements for elastomeric coatings as a function of the building’s geographic location will be elucidated. A unique and novel test apparatus called the “Climate Drive Durability Tester” will be described. The need for coating permeance & the phenomenon of carbonation, i.e. corrosion attack on metal rebars by atmospheric CO2 & moisture, will also be described. This program will provide attendees with a fundamental understanding of the technology that underlies elastomeric wall coatings & will provide solutions to above grade water-proofing problems. Case histories will be used to exemplify the basic concepts. Learn more or register now.
CSI Webinar: Integrated Project Delivery: Theory and Reality
May 14, 2-3:30pm ET

Innovative delivery models such as “integrated project delivery” (IPD) offer the potential to make the AEC process more high quality, more cost-effective, and to return significant benefits to owners. This session provides participants with an inside view of IPD -- a model of collaboration that the AIA and the AGC have clarified through education and contract examples. The perspectives of the owner, architect and contractor will each be represented in this dynamic session, which uses the case study of the Autodesk Trapelo Road project to describe the theory and illustrate the reality of IPD. Learn more, or register now.
