CSI Webinar: Blast Mitigation Through Windows and Glazing July 21, 2-3pm ET The course provides basic understanding of blast loads and pressures generated by blast. The course also explains the DOD-UFC (Dept. of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria) building design criteria to prevent injuries to our service men and women. The programs addresses the specification criteria for the designers and the architects and spec writers by explaining the effects of blast on the window frames and glazing and how to mitigate these effects. The course uses many actual videos of the testing of windows and curtain walls to demonstrate the potential for injuries from flying glass and to design windows to minimize or eliminate any flying glass. ASTM and GSA testing protocols are explained for proper testing procedures. Learn more or register now. |

CSI Webinar: The Art and Science of Polished Concrete July 23, 2-3pm ET Polished concrete is a high performance, low maintenance, sustainable flooring solution that uses the floor that is "already there" to reduce material consumption in both new construction and remodels. Advances in concrete chemistry have further improved its eco-friendly profile -- new, less caustic colloidal-silica based densifiers expose workers to less hazard and place less burden on the environment.
