Marketing Tips
Marketing Tips Provided by Architect Profits

Tip #4 - Search for prospect that are not looking for you

You need to search for prospects that are not looking for you. Why would you gain from this? The answer is simple; this tactic will change the frame of mind of those future clients when it comes to approving your fees. If a client has five Architects in front of them to choose from (and these days it’s more like 15), fees will be part of the equation, too often leading to the winner being the “cheapest” Architect. However, if you position yourself as the only emotional (and logical) choice for the client, getting the fees you deserve won’t be an issue.
Tools to use: How can you do this? By not trying to be all things to all people; instead, focus on what is important to them in their specific life of industry. This will help you knock at people’s door and say that you are the ‘expert’ for them. You can use direct mailing for this with a simple letter or even a post-card. You can also look for their trade magazine and have a simple and small ad in it, this way you cut on your expenses and increase your results with a specific message to a specific niche. Basically, you need to be in front of them before they start looking for an architect so that the only logical and emotional choice is your firm.
