October 19, 2-3pm ET: CSI Webinar: Specifying Soluble Salt Contamination Thresholds to Prevent Premature Coating Failures
Construction professionals have long relied on visual standards for quality control, but recent changes in VOC compliant coatings and the reduction of lead coatings means you need to address non-visible contaminants, called soluble salts, in your specifying, too. Industry surveys establish that nearly two-thirds of all coating failures are directly related to soluble salts, yet confusion about proper remediation still exists. After this session, you will understand how to; incorporate text and references into specifications to prevent premature coating failures on their projects; use best practices to reduce liability and the potential for construction claims based on QC failure; improve the contractor's understanding of your expectations. Learn more, or register now.
November 19, 1 - 5:30pm: USGBC Education Provider Workshop: Incorporating LEED into Project Specifications

The course explains the need for an integrated team approach to achieve LEED/sustainable goals on a project and the critical function of the specifier on that team. Attendees will learn how to find, evaluate and specify appropriate green products, materials, systems and construction procedures, and how to implement these specified techniques during the construction phase. All approved courses offered by USGBC Education Providers are approved for credit toward LEED Professional Credential Maintenance. Learn more, or register now.
