WAC Lighting Supports Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International

GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK – WAC Lighting President Shelley Wang has announced that the company is supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) International. WAC Lighting is a prominent manufacturer and designer of track, recessed, undercabinet, monorail and decorative lighting. "We are so proud to support the JDRF," explained Ms. Wang. "This organization offers a high level of education and results-driven research and developments to help cure Juvenile Diabetes. We are hoping that the foundation will transform its research into reality." JDRF's Mission is laser-focused to find a cure for Diabetes, and its complications, through the support of research. For four decades, JDRF has funded research that has led to better treatment and therapies, significantly improving the lives of people with Type 1 Diabetes. The organization is working to prevent, stop and cure Type 1 Diabetes and its complications. JDRF is currently funding over 40 clinical trials to test new therapies on people, ten times more than a year ago. For the eleventh consecutive year, JDRF is a top ranked charity, according to the American Institute of Philanthropy. The only national Diabetes organization to earn an A grade, JDRF earned a 92 efficient rating out of 100 in Forbes Magazine's charity ranking. In addition, donations help the progress on the JDRF research for the Continuous Glucose Monitor, which was noted in the New England Journal of Medicine as significant in moving the field to better management care for people living with diabetes.
