NKBA is key player in new mega-event focused on all aspects of home design and construction Kicking off our 50th anniversary year with some big news, The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) today announced an agreement to co-locate the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas beginning in February 2014. The two events, which will remain separate and distinct, create one mega-event to be called Design and Construction Week. NKBA is now a key player in one of the world’s largest gatherings focused on new ideas, products and technologies to design, build and remodel homes. Here’s how it will work Each show will occupy a separate space. Kitchen and bath brands that have participated in both shows can choose to exhibit in the KBIS or IBS hall. One pass will provide access to both exhibits. NKBA and NAHB will continue to produce separate educational programming and special events. Here are the benefits for you and NKBA • More exhibitors for attendees to see. More attendees for exhibitors to reach. Design and Construction Week 2014 is expected to draw 2,000 exhibiting brands and 75,000 attendees, based on recent trends for both shows. • NKBA professionals gain insight into relevant ancillary products that are so important to your projects, such as flooring, windows and more. Not to mention products for other spaces in the home. • New show timing earlier in the year means everyone from professionals to manufacturers are ready to meet the high season for consumer demand. • And, of course, a bigger and better KBIS gives NKBA the opportunity to provide more benefits to members. Future dates February 4-6, 2014 January 20-22, 2015 January 19-21, 2016
