Kolbe® has received a Product Innovation Award (PIA) from Architectural Products Magazine for its Ultra Series Folding Windows. The PIA recognizes products, materials and systems innovations that lead commercial and institutional design to new heights. Products and systems are evaluated by a panel of 50 independent industry professionals. Manufacturers are awarded based on attributes, qualities, functionality and/or performance beyond industry standards. Kolbe's innovative folding windows were designed in response to desires for expansive openings that can serve as pass-through openings. These highly customizable, made-to-order units are available with openings as large as 52 feet, yet operate smoothly. They are available with four basic operation types in a wide variety of configurations. Options include various stile & rail widths, glass types, as well as interior and exterior colors and finish options. Ultra Series Folding Window Highlights: • Massive sizes – openings up to 52-feet wide • Up to 8 panels per side • Four basic operation types: 1. Panels being folded all to one side 2. Split & then folded on either side of the opening 3. Floating configuration, allows panels to be put on either side of the opening 4.
