Joseph Elia has been engaged in the business of providing decorative surfacing solutions for over 35 years. His initial responsibilities focused in the area of high pressure laminate, but quickly evolved to include conventional solid surface materials. Joe’s expertise includes direct customer sales and channel management as well as technical training and development. His understanding of the solid surface performance envelope makes him an industry expert in defining the scope and opportunity for applications that utilize the unique characteristics of conventional solid surface. In 2001, Joe accepted an appointment at Wilsonart LLC where he has been involved in a broad range of leadership activities required to grow the solid surface product category. His integrated experience as an owner-operator of several small businesses provides him with an entrepreneurial vision and spirit that is always pushing surfacing solutions to be more innovative. This vision, coupled with Joe’s commercial experience has equipped him to play a critical role in building the business foundation required to deliver the unconventional; a solid surface like product portfolio with biocidal surface performance. Joe’s casual demeanor and entertaining speaking style allow him to connect with his audience in an informal manner that is highly educational.
