This course addresses new techniques, risks, and basic leadership skills for successful sustainable projects. Furthermore, it looks at how design and construction teams can cooperate with material suppliers in tracing a material’s life-cycle from raw material extraction, manufacture, installation, and finally, material end-of-life considerations. The new Green Building Design and Construction, LEED version 4 (v4) rating system, is evaluated for its incorporation of a multi-attribute focus on building materials and resources.
